On April 19 of last year we received an important notice of a house in the area of Pasada de Granadillo, Malaga. Apparently, the tenant of the house had left the home leaving in it a lot of cats without sterilization and, of course, without care. The owner of the house did not feed them because she wanted to rerent the house and her ultimate goal was the cats leaving the house; in fact, he had called the City Council to pick them up.
We were able to rescue 16 cats from the home which were all welcomed by our Feline Refuge in Vélez-Málaga. Among them was the beautiful Flechita. She retains her shy and reserved character from the beginning but her advances are incredible With the passage of time, all the kittens of the abandoned house have been adopted, except for Flechita, who is still waiting shy but full of love, a family that adopts her.

They were rescued together as a baby and spent some time in foster adoption, but without luck. how they couldnt found anything, desperated, they threw them back into the street. Finally, and luckily, they were found by our companions and welcomed in the Feline Refuge of Leo de Vélez-Málaga.
They are little brothers and inseparable so the ideal would be a joint adoption. They are very affectionate and sociable.

Sinno came to us about 6 months ago from a house in Granada where the owners had far too many cats and were asked to remove the majority. The neighbours were kind and assisted with payment for some of the initial vet bills to get them vaccinated etc and arranged for them to come to the refuge.
Sinno is a large but calm and gentle male cat.
When he first arrived at the refuge he was very nervous and spent all his time inside hiding away from the other cats. He is still very shy but will let you approach him quietly (a lot of noise seems to scare him) and stroke him without any problems and he now likes to lick your hand. He also enjoys getting treats.
He is relaxed with his own siblings and will wash them when they come close to him, however he prefers his own company than being around the other cats. He has never been involved in disagreement. You can pick him up in your arms but only for a short time as he doesn't really enjoy this.
Sinno would probably enjoy a quiet household with perhaps just one other calm female cat.
He is a healthy cat and there have been no problems with him.
Regarding children and dogs, we don't know how he would be, however our instinct is that he would prefer an older family household, not young energetic children.

We want to introduce you to our beautiful and loving Shelly who is waiting to be adopted from our Refuge in Vélez-Málaga.
He was rescued with his six little brothers when they were just babies in the town of Almayate. It was a lady who gave us the notice and asked us for help. When we went we were horrified. They were malnourished, in terrible condition, with bugs, etc.; their health conditions were really serious so we took action immediately, we couldn't leave them alone.
Little by little and with treatments and many care and affection they have been recovering in the shelter and in one of our few shelters. finally they recovered completely, they are all wonderful, they can stay with humans, dogs and cats, they are very affectionate. Some little brothers have already been adopted but our beautiful and cuddly and already super healthy Shelly is still looking for a home...

Beno was a feral kitten found on a campsite, approximately 4 months old. Beno was fed by one lady who had him castrated and started to socialise him, unfortunately her own cat became very upset and she had to look for someone to take him. Happily a place was found at the refuge.
Beno is a sweet natured male cat now 8 months old.
He was a bit scared of being in the refuge but within a week he has become very friendly and loves to be stroked and cuddled. He is adjusting well to being with other cats and doesn't get involved in any disagreements.
We are still getting to know Beno but once in his own home we believe he would be a very loving cat.
He is healthy and there have been no problems with him.
We don't know how he would be with children, however our instinct is that he would enjoy being with children who would play with him. We don't know how he would react to dogs but if introduced slowly it might not be a problem.

We want to introduce you our little Sam, an adorable kitten seeking adoption from our shelter in Vélez-Málaga.
He was rescued along with all his brothers from the Pantano de la Viñuela (Málaga) next to the Hotel. One of his brothers also came in very bad condition. All his little brothers were lucky and found a home except for Sam who is still waiting, in one of our few foster homes, for a family to adopt him.
About his character, he is skittish and somewhat shy but as soon as you take him he wants pampering and caresses. It is a very humble cat, very nice, never attacks. He gets along well with people, cats and even dogs. It's just adorable.
